Pass-along:
This is the one of most widely used viral marketing strategies of all. Marketers that include an option for their clients to tell-a-friend about their offer within an email message, in return for a free or
discounted product or service is an example of pass-along promotion. However, there is a chance that promotional e-mails will be marked as “spam” by email filters. Thus, it is imperative that the “from” and “subject” fields of your marketing emails do not contain any words or phrases that may be considered soliciting, this will help prevent your messages from being flagged by the email provider’s Spam filters.
Undercover:
This is the most difficult viral advertising
strategy to recognize. Undercover marketing provides invisible viral messages concealed within simple web pages or pieces of data without apparent web-links to click on.
Incentive Driven:
This marketing strategy used by companies in which “Affiliate Marketers” and others are provided a percentage of each sale when they refer clients to a particular company’s website. With this particular strategy the potential client needs to take action before the individual that referred him or her is paid.
Edgy: AKA Gossips or buzz marketing.
This type is most common in the world of entertainment. An example of this strategy is the distribution of different
situations like some type of scandal regarding the superstars of a movie that is yet to be released. Although they’re usually just rumors, rumors of scandal or contention can sometimes act as a viral marketing campaign for the movie.

Word Of Mouth: Yes, this is the conventional way of transferring information to other people; In fact, it’s the most effective strategy.
