In the third Carol Golden novel, Dangerous Wind, Carol is abducted from Chapel Hill, North Carolina where she lives with her grandmother and is thrown into an adventure that will take her to all seven continents. It involves a former boyfriend she doesn’t remember (because of her amnesia), who is trying to bring about the “downfall of the Western World” according to people in power. While Carol is hunting for the bad guys she has to sort out the truth and figure out who they really are. But she isn’t prepared for the shocking answer.

How is Writing In Your Genre Different from Others?
“Dangerous Wind,” leans toward action/adventure as opposed to most of my novels, which fit in the mystery/suspense category. Here there is more action and less mystery, although there is still puzzle-solving and questions to be answered.
What Advice Would You Give Aspiring Writers?
Write, write, write. Write what you are passionate about. Write your million words to develop your style and your voice.
Author Bio:
Alan Cook spent many years in the computer industry. Now, well into his second career as a writer, he has published over a dozen novels and a young adult adventure, “Dancing with Bulls.”
What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
This is the third Carol Golden novel. In the first book, “Forget to Remember,” Carol is injured and has amnesia. She can’t remember who she is or anything about her past. In the second book, “Relatively Dad,” Carol has recovered her identity but not most of her memory. She searches for cousins with deadly results. The third book, “Dangerous Wind,” is a logical followup in which Carol has to help find an old boyfriend she doesn’t remember. It’s all part of her process to rediscover her past.
