What inspires you to write?
As far back as I can remember, I’ve wrote. It was a creative outlet for me. I started with poems, which led to short stories, which led to writing much longer stories. I have tons of ideas in my head that if I don’t write it down, my braid will be too crowded with words.
Tell us about your writing process.
I’m a total pantser, but when it comes to my characters, I outline them so I know them up close and personal, when I begin the story, there isn’t any surprises. I use scrivener in the beginning and then transition to word. I use Pinterest and gather together the looks of my characters.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
lol. I do talk to my characters, especially when I come to a bump in the story that i’m not feeling right about it. We talk it out, come to a solution and move forward.
What advice would you give other writers?
Keep writing and reading. Keeping writing, because the more you writing the better you get. Keep reading, because you can always learn from others and who knows if you can get a spark of an idea.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I’ve always wanted to do traditional because it’s easier to have everything you need in one publishing house. Advise to new authors is that what does work for one doesn’t always for all. So check every avenue to see what works best for you.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I feel with the digital publishing, in the far future, paper books will be fewer.
