What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I grew up reading books set in the future and dreaming what it would be like to live on another planet, and decided that one day I wanted to write my own adventure in the future. I wrote a bunch of (not great) books when I was 13, and later reworked some of the ideas and characters into Heroes Rise.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
My characters started out as combinations of various friends and family member's personalities and appearances, but they all started to take on a life of their own as I got further into writing. Now, they almost feel like real people to me – I'm going to miss them when I'm done the series!
