What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
This book grew out of a 20-year journey of writing and personal experiences while exploring the question of why bad things may happen to good people. It is a story about the shocking contrast between human frailty and an infinitely powerful and sovereign God, who is motivated by a love that is as immense and immeasurable as His power.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
The boy, Jimmy, is an unlikely prophet, like many examples in the Bible where God used children in remarkable ways. From Joseph’s early dreams to David’s courageous battle with Goliath and Jesus’ selection of a young man named John, likely not more than a teenager himself, to be one of his closest Disciples. It’s not much of a stretch to think that His most significant work still to come could be accomplished through some of the weakest among us.
