Many individuals feel pressure in living up to others’ expectations of them. Voyage of an Independent Thinker aims to strikeupcandid conversations about practical life, social complexities, and how to independently navigate them. Author Leila Naylor wrote this book to inspire adolescents to become more independent thinkers.
Voyage of an Independent Thinker addresses:
• What skillsets are important for young adults to obtain to become more self-reliant?
• What advice would help people resolve their own problems more effectively?
• How do you effectively adapt yourself to change?
• Why is it important to do your homework first?
Exploring the intersection between managing finances, interacting in the professional world, and making big life decisions, Naylor’s story speaks to individuals that want to reach their highest potential so that they can live their life their way.
Targeted Age Group:: 10-19
What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
While on my own voyage, there was so much about our world I didn't know. That is one of the reasons why I chose to author this book: to share the experiences of my own voyage through life thus far to help you along with yours. Based on my own experiences, I learned how important it is to become a strong independent thinker as you age. I aspire each day to reach the goal of being able to wake up every morning and say to myself "What do I want to do today?" as opposed to "What do I have to do today?" To accomplish this, I recognized how important your life choices are. Evaluate the risks you are willing to take versus the reward. Use all of the skillsets that you have at your disposal to achieve your personal success.
