Not since James Dean brought Jim Stark to life has a manuscript such as “Trouble” been penned. Reminiscent of the stirring ’50’s when “Rebel Without a Cause”. “The Wild One”. amd “Blackboard Jungle” sprang the rebellious teenager phenomenon on the unsuspecting public, :Trouble” brings another anti-hero to the forefront. Unlike Dean, Brando or Morrow, Paciaffi is no actor and the events in his shocking manuscript are not movie scenes but a real-life setting, complete with real people and real action. No hero, Paciaffi will shock you, he will stun you, and he may even offend a few of you, but he will certainly entertain you. Not for the timid, “Trouble” does contain a few (but only the few necessary) adult words that are not for gratuitous profanity but are a part of today’s younger generation, along with sex, drugs and alcohol.
Targeted Age Group:
I write for myself and my friends 1st, if others like Trouble then that’s fantastic. I tell it like it is and how things happened, people can believe it or not. Bottom line if you’re reading something that I’ve written, I want it to pull an emotion out of you. I want you to either love me, hate me or think I’m hilarious when you finish Trouble.
What Advice Would You Give Aspiring Writers?
Yeah, do it for you and no one else. Write your book for you & no one else and if you’re in it for the money, you’re doing it for all the wrong reasons.
Tom Paciaffi is a 28 year old High School & College graduate which would shock most people who have read this book as most would believe he would’ve been banned from numerous academic institutions. Paciaffi lives his life 1 way & that’s his way and has no issue flying that rebel flag proud even though being labeled on has never been his intention, he simply just does what he wants. He doesn’t do things to entertain others, he does them to entertain himself however, if others are entertained then it’s just a bonus. Call him the last outlaw or a modern day pirate, Paciaffi is nothing of a wild card, you never know what he’s going to say or do next. If asked to sum up his life he’d quote the great Jim Morrison “I see myself as a huge fiery comet, a shooting star. Everyone stops, points up and gasps “Oh look at that!” Then- whoosh, and I’m gone…and they’ll never see anything like it ever again… and they won’t be able to forget me- ever”
What inspired it was the fact that I’ve had so many people over the years tell me that I’ve done so much stuff that I should write a book. By so much stuff they meant causing trouble, pranks, hilarious escapades. Not to mention the older you get the more things you forget, so what I wanted to do was write out everything so that my friends and I can sit back when we’re older, pick up this book & be able to remember the good old days.
