What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
It has been my desire to write children's books for years. I am a thirty year plus law enforcement officer, firefighter, and emergency medical technician. I specialized in child abuse investigations while assigned to major crimes. I love children and despise sexual predators. My books are good, clean fun for everyone. I feel our children and teens are inundated by sex, violence, drugs, and alcohol. I wanted to write a clean series that was pure enjoyment.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
The characters are loosely based on my three children and my daughter friend that basically grew up at our house. The personalities of the characters are similar to those of the actual children.

Jared flipped the power switch on, and flashing lights of all different colors came on. The control panel had a place on it that said month, date, year and location. Jared turned the knobs until it displayed April 14, 1912. The panel also had a keyboard like a typewriter, and it had a display that said enter destination. He typed in RMS Titanic. “Ok everyone, hold on when I move the lever that reads transport who knows what will happen.” Kiley said, “I just hope it is not like the transporters on TV, like I said, sometimes they don’t get there in one piece.” “Oh well Kiley, if that happens we will not remember it.” “Thanks a lot, Colton I feel so much better now.” Everyone closed their eyes and held on. The tension was so thick you could have cut it with a knife. “Here goes nothing, said Colton; I hope to see all of you all on the other side.” “Don’t even joke about that,” said Kiley. Jared gritted his teeth and eased the lever forward. Immediately the machine began to shake violently, a loud bell alarm was ringing, and sirens were going off. Kiley began to scream as they began to spin quickly. They had all ridden rides at the fair, in fact, this year they had gotten up enough nerve to ride the Zipper. However, this was the scariest ride ever. This thing made the Zipper look like a kiddy ride. They spun and flipped for what seemed like forever.
Suddenly everything was quiet; it was very dark, they felt like they had passed out and were just waking up from a long deep sleep. Shaking his head trying to clear it Jared asked, “Is everyone alright?” “Are we alive,” asked Kiley? Colton replied, “Yep, we’re alive, at least I think we are, but where are we and why is it so dark? I don’t intend to end up in a dark place when I die so we must be alive.” Brandy yelled, “Wow that was awesome, best ride ever!” Kiley was holding her stomach. “You would think so, I don’t feel so good, and my head is spinning.” She is always the first one to get sick on fair rides; she even gets car sick going to town.
“Well I suppose we need to open the door and see what happened, wonder if we went anywhere at all,” asked Brandy? Kiley looked at her. “After all that, I sure hope so.” “If not, said Jared, at least this thing will make one heck of a fair ride.” Brandy opened the door slowly; cold air rushed in and the fog which surrounded them dissipated. They stepped outside and could not believe their eyes. The dark sky was clear and sparkled with thousands of stars. Kiley shivered, “It’s freezing out here.” Brandy replied, “It was freezing the night the Titanic sank.” They could smell the ocean. As their eyes adjusted to the darkness, they began to see where they were. Colt said, “We are on the stern of a ship.” “Not just any ship, said Brandy look up there.” On a flag pole blowing in the breeze was a British Flag and another flag that read White Star Line RMS Titanic. The British government contracted ships to deliver mail across the world. Only British contract ships could display RMS in front of their names.” Kiley asked, “What is the stern of a ship?” “It is the back end of it Kiley, where the propellers are located. The Titanic was a triple screw ship.” “A triple screw, what is that?” “It had three huge propellers. Brandy, do you know how big the propellers were on the Titanic?” “Let me think Colton. I believe they were Twenty-three-feet-six-inches tall, had three blades on each one and weighed thirty-eight tons each.” Jared replied, “Man, talk about big. That is seventy-six-thousand pounds each. No wonder this ship was the largest ship of her time.”
