What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
As the mother of three daughters, I lived through those strange and wonderful teenage years. That's what inspired me to write a young adult (crossover to adult) story involving brothers (for some reason I chose brothers not sisters) who rely on each other, but still argue, like real teenagers. I placed them in very difficult situations that they have to overcome, together and sometimes alone. But throughout, they build their relationship even more.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
I developed these characters from seeing the teenage boys my daughters hung out with, or didn't hang out with! I'd attended numerous school functions, so got to see firsthand what modern teens do and how they act.
