How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
The characters are based upon real-life people that I studied and lived with their stories most of my life.
The main transgender character, Permelia Corn, aka, Smiley Hanlon, is based upon a high school mate of mine. He was bullied and beat because of who and what he was born to be.
