What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
Immortality has some practical challenges that are addressed in my novel. Also, I always wanted to write an action mystery!
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
I developed a description sheet for all the characters. This gave me a clearer mental image of how each person would behave and dress and interact with the other characters.

Startled by his attention, she misjudged the distance when reaching for the coffee stirrers, knocking over their container. With her other hand she tried to catch the stirrers before they tumbled out of the container, but instead whacked her paper coffee cup. The cup wobbled precariously, spinning around once on its bottom edge like a teetering bowling pin unsure whether or not to topple. The young woman attempted to catch the cup as it rotated, she desperately grabbed for it, but it finally pitched over as it pivoted just out of her reach.
A brown river of coffee raced down the entire length of the counter. Rapids and eddies formed as it flowed past condiment containers. A lone wooden coffee stirrer kayaked the rapids. When the river reached the end of the counter, a brown waterfall formed and cascaded onto the floor. The wood stirrer kayak followed—there were no survivors.
