What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
My grandmother was in a coma twice when I was younger and I always wondered if she could hear things or what she was thinking. The idea to write a book with a main character in a coma has been in the back of my mind ever since. That is the basis for this book, but it spread into so much more than that. The first scene came to mind and I couldn’t NOT write it down. Once that scene was complete, I felt I owed it to the characters to find out what happened by completing the story.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
The characters are a huge mix of my imagination, myself, other people around me, and even other characters in stories I happened to be reading at the time.
