Scepter_FinalAccording to actual documents hidden in the Apocrypha, an ancient race of supernatural beings known as Irin roam the Earth. Impervious to aging, illness or mortal injury, they wage a continuous war against those who once threatened the survival of mankind by corrupting the natural order. While ever present, they prefer to remain unseen in order to freely move among us. Those who are seen are easily overlooked and immediately forgotten. Walk down any street in the world and you will pass at least one Irin. Depending on the threat or situation, sometimes many.

When the prophesied last descendant of Enoch is born lifeless, the immortal Irin Scepter tasked with ensuring her survival takes matters into his own hands. Breathing his own life into her, they not only share a heartbeat, but her existence is now linked to his.

When the war to control this girl who will one day write the future into existence forces him to confront betrayal by those he most trusted, he must choose between his duty as the leader of his people or the ultimate destruction of her world.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
Fascinated by historical information and stories in the Apocrypha (books taken out of the bible) I asked myself – what if this were true? What if the prophecies and stories were relevant today. Thus, The Last Scribe Series was born. There are seven novellas and three full length novels in the series.

How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
Like any writer, I’m a people watcher and constantly accumulating information. Over the years I began collecting traits and images that I used to create memorable, interesting and likeable characters. Even the antagonist has his moments where the reader is not so sure he’s a bad guy!

About the Author:
R. Lee Walsh is an artist, author and proud mother of two beautiful and talented daughters as well as the caretaker for a 96 year old grandfather who battles with advanced Alzheimer’s, not to mention two lazy but adorable dogs, a kamikaze cat and a reclusive hamster named Wink.

Proving that truth is stranger than fiction, she has written hundreds of true stories about her unusual life experiences and developed a popular line of inspirational greeting cards, as well as being a writing coach and chief Morale Officer at Author Salon, a Project Development and Network site for aspiring authors.

The Last Scribe Series started with an idea that blossomed into an outline that expanded into a seven year journey through countless drafts, edits, and the invaluable coaching of some of the most talented agents and writers on the planet. What started as a novel idea is now a multi-part series that includes:

The Last Scribe Prequel Novellas

Irin
Scepter
Son of Sam
Sheva

The Last Scribe Trilogy

The Last Scribe
Second Sight
366

Bonus Novella Series

Oman
Skarasphati
Zibah
