What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I have been wanting to complete a book for NaNoWriMo for about 12 years, and this past year I wrote this story. The basic setting and characters were laid out, but I didn't have a complete plot before I started writing. During the month-long writing process, the story just flowed and wrote itself.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
The main character is somewhat based on my own life experiences. He is inquisitive, and seeking to live his best life. The other characters are also drawn from real life, and support the "hero's journey" the main character finds himself on.
