Dave Newell was born and raised in the Midlands of South Carolina. After graduating in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, he moved to Greenville, South Carolina where he currently lives with his family.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
My love for noir films, Alfred Hitchcock, noir literature, and all things vintage inspired the setting for the story. The story itself was inspired very early, when I was six, by my pet parakeet. As I grew, so did the idea along with my life experiences.
