What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
Just Say It is a story that had whirled around in my head for years. I didn't have an easy relationship with my late mother, so it was a novel I felt compelled to write. My main character's childhood/teenage experiences are loosely inspired by my own, but my adult main character is more the person I would have wished to turn out like!
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
I love creating characters, but in Just Say It, most of the characters my protagonist encounters during her childhood spring from people I knew and loved when I was growing up.
