What inspires you to write?
I wrote my first story in 4th grade about an otter. I became fascinated with reading in 2nd grade when I got my HM LOTR 2nd edition collection for Christmas. I read Fellowship of the Ring pretty much non-stop for the next 5 years. Usually when I got to the end I'd just start over rather than going on to Two Towers. Not every time of course.
This inspired me to want to create such a complex world and story of my own.
Tell us about your writing process.
I used to write on pen and paper. It was very nice but I'm just too slow of a 4-fingered typist to do it still.
I DO NOT outline.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
Yes sometimes we read the stories out loud and do all of their different voices. It's probably the most fun I have writing.
What advice would you give other writers?
Write for yourself.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
It was a difficult decision to self-publish. I have had two terrible experiences with publishers and one mediocre one. Combine that with mountains of rejection and there you have it (though I do get tempted still from time to time to send out).
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
Yeah, more and more it will be based on trending on social media like tv shows are today. More pop.
What genres do you write?: fantasy, science fiction, literary
What formats are your books in?: Both eBook and Print
