Author Bio:
She’s first learned English when she was eight and already fell in love with writing since she was seven. She was born in Jakarta in the year of 1980 and spent her childhood there until the age of 12 before moved to Indramayu. After graduated from High School, she continued her education in Bandung and took Tourism Management majority at Bandung Tourism of Institute (Enhaii). Between her college schedules, she kept writing, mostly with her experience spent in Solo and Yogyakarta. And after graduated from Enhaii, she worked at a bookstore and that made her more familiar with books and publishing. After got married and had kids, she returned to Indramayu and started to do online jobs for freelance translating and made her own blog.
The year 2009 was the first time she published her work on the internet before finally getting published. Some of her friends encouraged her to publish her first romance novel and this novel is her first published work. She has some other manuscripts and getting work to publish it.
What inspires you to write?
Anything.
Tell us about your writing process.
Usually the ideas came up first and then the plot. Sometimes the story expand itself during the wriitng process. If I had the idea for certain plot and I haven’t gotten to the part, I wrote it in a different document and then put it together.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
I write in first person point of view, so I feel like the character I created during the writing process. It’s also to connect to the readers heart.
What advice would you give other writers?
Write in the most comfortable way to you.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
When a lot of my friends said it was a great story, so I decided to give it try. It’s in printed version first, but it’s only available on the local publisher. When one of my readers from overseas asked if I made a ebook, I saw it as an opportunity.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I think it will expand more, especially when it is technology involved.
