About Talia Hieman:
After traveling the world, obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Literature and her Master’s degree in Journalism and Communications, she found herself in inadequate jobs and very often complaining.
At some point she decided to quit looking, and start finding.
She left her job and focused:
– On coaching (she really is one since the day she was born)
– On writing children’s literature (she’s been writing children’s stories since she was in 3rd grade)
– On being a mom (she’s been one for the past 6 years)
And then, things started falling into place: success came knocking on her door and it all started thriving like a field of sunflowers in spring. It drove her to perfect, fine-tune and write down her methods and then publish them for you and for your children, bringing into your lives the aroma of spring.
What inspires you to write?
Every child I know, and especially mine:)
Tell us about your writing process.
I’m a life coacher, so I’m taking many ideas from the children I’m coaching, I see the problems they are dealing with, thinking and practicing with them solutions, and then it’s easy to write it down….
I find the witch in my stories a funny and easy way for children to understand their thoughts and fillings.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
I definitely “live” my characters… I KNOW THEM, I know theirs thought, language, Strongs and weaknesses.
I speak to them every day… they are my children, and the kids I am coaching 4 times a workweek.
What advice would you give other writers?
To authors and everyone else:
Be passionate about your work, that’s the only way to get through life
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I Just had to do the quickest way, because I felt like I have a PURE GOLD in my hands that I have to share with other parents ASAP.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
That is a hard question… I really do hope people will continue to read printed books, don’t you simply love this new book smell?
