I am presently writing a book called “Bottoms up, Surrendering to God, not to Booze.
I have been on TV as a guest on a few occasions
But with all that is on my resume,
I am also an Alcoholic, an Alcoholic who has reclaimed his life back from this disease.
What inspires you to write?
Every single day when God allows me to wake up, he has granted me 86.400 to live. It is up to me how to use those seconds God has granted me. It really inspires me to help people. I know that those precious seconds God gave me can make a difference in someones life if I use them in a way I do daily. I want to give simple smiles to total strangers, I want to help that elderly neighbor with their yard. I want everyone to know that God is great
Tell us about your writing process.
My writing process is very simple. I need to be alone, I need my surroundings to be quiet and with a beautiful view. But most importantly. I my process needs to inclufe God!
What advice would you give other writers?
My advice to others who want to write, just write. Don't let the naysayers tell you it's a waste of time. You are the messenger of your own life, put it on paper and let other people who might be struggling find peace through your struggles. Ofcourse, only if your future book is an autobiography as mine is. You apply same rule to any other book subjects. Friends, I wish you all a happy writing experience
How did you decide how to publish your books?
At the beginning , my intensions were to have Christian Faith publish my book. Although I really want them to, the $4000 fee they were charging were $3999 out of my reach. I prayed to God to help me get my book published and once again God provided the solution. His way required zero upfront fees which even left me the $1 I had to invest originally in my pocket
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
Book publishing can be easier when done independtly, you have more control of the process. You are involved step by step. Sure – some might say with a well know publisher you will sell more books and make more money, but friends, I wrote this book more for the release of my story, not so much for the payday
