About Philip C. Elrod:
I am an author living and working in Texas. I have authored novels but have also written books and articles on data collection, computer technology, and the technical trading of securities. I love astronomy, international travel, RV travel and photography.
What inspires you to write?
I am inspired by the world that we live in and the technologies that we have created.
Tell us about your writing process.
I spend a great deal of time mentally planning my plot and creating my characters. However, that does result in many sleepless nights when my characters bounce around in my head for endless hours. When I’m happy with my overall planning, I begin to write my story.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
My characters do, indeed talk to me. In fact, sometimes we get into heated arguments.
What advice would you give other writers?
Have faith in yourself and learn from others. Use criticism to grow and improve. Then, just pray.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I spent a great deal of time studying Amazon’s publishing. The process is neither complicated nor intimidating. Help is always available along with many reference articles.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I believe that ebpublishing is the future.
