About Lenore Harper:
Lenore Harper has been passionate about writing and all-things romance for as long as she can remember. She spends the bulk of her time in Columbus, Georgia writing about alpha males and the just-as-strong women who love them. Outside of the writing-sphere, Lenore loves sipping on sweet tea while reading a good book or fueling her Southern-ness with some jeeping.
What inspires you to write?
I always looked to read and had a desire to write but it wasn’t until I received an email from Celia Kyle about her new Kindle World that I thought I could finally do it. Once I began I couldn’t stop and now have several books in the works.
Tell us about your writing process.
My writing process is geeked up as my brother calls it. I start my mapping out my characters and locations in my notebook then I layout roughly how many chapters I want in Scrivener which is the program I use. From there I randomly work on scenes within each chapter until it all pulls together. I might work on chapter five scene two today and chapter fifteen scene fifteen tomorrow. It’s crazy but ti works for me. I do keep a rough outline in my notebook about what I want to happen in each scene so I stay on point.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
I not only listen to my characters but I talk with them as well. After all they are know themselves best.
What advice would you give other writers?
Just write! On the day that I felt like I was getting no where and would never get finished someone told me if you are writing then you are a writer. It is that simple. There is no deadline that you can’t meet.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I decided that self-publishing was for me because it allowed me so much control. That doesn’t mean that it will always be for me but right now at the beginning of my writing career I feel that it is.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I think that book publishing is just going to get easier and easier as we head into the future. There are so many options now that I can’t imagine what there will be in five years.
