About Leith Adams:
I’m 53, happily married to my beautiful wife for 31 years, have 3 grown adult married children and 4 fantastic grandchildren.Been self-employed most of my working life, had various businesses, had some amazing success, had some absolute disasters! Been an Entrepreneur and a Entremanure, I been in so deep at times that I had to look up to see the bottom, as it was only the depth that varied!
Whether you’re building a business or a professional career in today’s day and age, how often do you see a man almost working himself to death, only to realize that he has lost his family in the process? It’s a huge challenge. A challenge that I want to help you avoid.
I look at it like this, I have made so many stuff-ups along the way that if you simply just did the opposite of what I have done, you’d come out having made a pretty good job of your life. You’d be a success.
Out of every adversity, comes the seeds of an equal or greater opportunity. It all depends upon your attitude, your perception and your persistence… What Ever It Takes! #DO IT TO IT!
What inspires you to write?
My mission in writing is to Awaken, Inspire, and Call to Action, men to be better fathers, husbands and businessmen.
Tell us about your writing process.
Make sure that if your going to write a book and your going to write it in Microsoft Word that you set the page size to A5, not A4 as I did initially, and then had to reformat the whole book into A5 later. It will save you heaps of lost time!
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
What advice would you give other writers?
Its hard enough to start a book, let alone finish it. My advice is to schedule time into you diary each day, and sit down and write no matter what! Even a few words or lines each day is better than nothing.
After-all isn’t that what a book is? Just a heaps of words, lines and paragraphs that end up becoming a book.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
It was a process of elimination, after sacking 3 editors and 1 publisher, I was then referred to the publisher that I now use.
What influenced my decision also, wasn’t just the publishing of the book, but finding someone with expertise in the marketing of my book.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
Looks like the general population is favoring eBooks
