Kenneth Morvant is a life science professional and science fiction fan that loves to write stories that extend the boundaries of science and challenges the reader to consider the consequences of its use and misuse.
What inspires you to write?
A desire to write stories that explore human nature and the temptation to misuse technology. I like to take the reader on a journey they probably never thought was possible.
Tell us about your writing process.
I like outlining. A good storyboard helps one to see the story from finish to end. It is a confidence builder in that you know you have a story from finish to end. It causes you to think of the latter parts of the work and over time you can think of how you are going to write that section.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
I listen to them. I let the story unfold through their eyes.
What advice would you give other writers?
Keep writing. The more you write the better you will be at the craft.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I self-published this book, but I have a publisher for the next.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I think ebooks will dominate. The future depends on if schools will encourage students to explore stories that are not visually or aurally presented.
