What inspires you to write?
In the case of Walk-On Warrior, I felt like I had a compelling story to tell, something, that if told the right way, would inspire others and be of interest to a lot of people. The challenge for me was organizing all of my thoughts into something that flowed well.
Tell us about your writing process.
I'm not an outliner, but I kept track of all of the stories that I had penned out individually so I could appropriately put them all together. For me, my writing improved a lot when I was able to create an environment where I could truly get lost in the story-telling. The times when I had no distractions absolutely produced my best writing.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I chose to self-publish through KDP, and I've been pleased with the experience. The best part has been not having to take on the cost of inventory.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I love the fact that self-publishing platforms are allowing more writers to showcase their talent. I would anticipate things continuing to move in this direction.
