I have always been a dreamer, a romantic and a self – diagnosed sex addict. The thought of writing an erotic romance was intriguing and exciting. After years of writing in the academic world, I found that writing sexy stories is definitely my niche. I draw upon my previous life in health care and education as well as my other passion of riding horses to set scenes and get ideas. Of course, my sexual passion is fueled by my wicked imagination and the incredible man in my life who makes me feel like the only woman on earth. I hope you enjoy.
What inspires you to write?
I am inspired by my own imagination and life. Sex is enjoyable and women need to be allowed to express themselves sexually as well as emotionally. My imagination is expressed in my life and in my writing.
Tell us about your writing process.
I am definitely a seat of my pants writer. I envision a story and characters first. Then I write out the characters identity and various scenes. I have an idea of how I want the story to unfold. But it often changes several times as I write. I like to just let if flow out of my mind and onto the paper. It is often surprising and fun.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
I listen, talk to and even think like my characters. If I can get see their minds and actions, it is easier for me to write what they would really do. I like to make the characters emotions and reactions believable even if the scenes are a bit outlandish.
What advice would you give other writers?
Keep writing. Just write. Don’t worry about what you write just do it.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
Good question. When I feel like I can’t do anymore editing or changes would hurt the story-it’s time to publish.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I’m self-published. I thought this would be a good way to get started. You never know until you try.
