What inspires you to write?
My dog and the elves that won't leave my house.
What authors do you read when you aren’t writing?
I love J.K. Rowling and Roald Dahl. Frances Hodgson Burnett is also really cool.
Tell us about your writing process.
I used to write whatever came to me but then I fell in some plot holes. It took too long digging myself out, so now I enjoy writing lengthy outlines to keep my stories in line.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
I dream them. they dance before me like apparitions or little ghosts just seeking a friend.
What advice would you give other writers?
Don't give up and never let anyone tell you no.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I spent over a decade querying agents. Finally I got tired of being told that my work was great but never landing a deal. So I decided to start self-publishing in 2023. I am now an Amazon bestseller!
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
The future is silly. You just never know what is going to happen, but I think the future of storytelling is rich with plenty of new ideas worth sharing.
