What inspires you to write?
I love reading and turning to writing was just a natural extension of that love of books.
Tell us about your writing process.
Well, some authors may like peace and solitude, but I love watching TV and movies while I write. If I wasn't enjoying myself, then I would quit! I like to just write, sometimes I may plan it out, but not very often.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
I try to imagine what I would say in my character's situation.
What advice would you give other writers?
Just keep writing. Take advice, but don't be overwhelmed by criticism. Read reviews, always try to take something positive out of any negative review.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
We chose to self-publish. My wife manages our own company, Indie Publishing Group, that helps other authors self-publish their own books.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
It's hard out there. Indie authors are battling against traditionally published authors as well big as corporations.
