What inspires you to write?
Tell us about your writing process.
Once I have decided on the subject that I am going to write about, I carry my book and pen around with me everywhere. If something pops into my head I write it down, if someone is late for a meeting I write. I plan in time each week to set aside as my writing time and I write. If I find myself with an extra hour due to life changes, I write.
I am not strict with myself, I don’t tell myself off and I don’t think of giving in if I miss an allocated writing time.
Go with the flow, if the words aren’t coming, don’t force it, wait until the words are coming to you naturally and enjoy the whole experience.
What advice would you give other writers?
Make time and don’t put it off, don’t let self doubt put you off. There is a reason that the thought for this book has pinged into your head, go with it and write, write, write!!!!
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I had a bad experience with a previous publisher so I decided to self publish this one myself. I had watched some of the webinars about self publishing and everyone seemed to be pointing me towards Amazon, so I went that way.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I love reading and I love reading a book in my hand, so I am hoping that the future will be a mixture of online availability with a printed option for those who are like me and like the paper 🙂
What genres do you write?
business, self help, wellbeing
