At the height of the London season 1811, twenty-six-year-old Penelope Bexley finds herself the newly appointed governess to her oldest friend’s daughter. Turned out by her father for refusing to marry his business associate, she has no hopes of finding a suitable match, far less love. Little does she suspect that her change in station will bring to her life the very thing she’s been missing and the help her friend so desperately needs. As she prepares her charge to find a match, her efforts might just find her a match of her own.
Anthony Carmichael is a man out of his element. After the untimely death of his brother, he is left to raise his young niece on his own and arrange for her to be presented in society – something he is far from prepared to do. However, not one to ever refuse a challenge, he is determined to see her suitably betrothed by the end of the season and has elicited the help of the widow of Huntington Hall to help him. However, he finds more in the help than he ever suspected, when he discovers that the woman who broke his heart some years ago is now acting as a governess in her household.
Will Penelope and William find matches for their wards, or will the young women be left in the lurch because of their bickering? Can you find love again when all hope is lost? Can the pair help solve the problems at Huntington Hall? Only time will tell, and the sweet music of the ton is calling.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I just love regency romance. I have read and watched it for many years. I want to share my love with others.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
Second chance romance resonates with me. My characters needed to be just the right age and have certain life experiences during the regency era. I based my characters on those factors.
