I always design my own book covers, I will often do up the cover shortly after I’ve started, or even before writing the book.
‘Shield & Sword 2: Into the Light’ is the last & only sequel to my first book ‘Shield & Sword: The Kabe Legacy’. As in both cases, the name has dual meaning. The cross represents the Shield and the gun represents the Sword. As for the ‘Into the Light’ part of the title, well, you would need to read the book; and I say that with a smile.
Cross and pistol on a book title Shield and Sword is confusing. Also the title is hard to read full size, especially when obscured with the 2. In thumbnail it’s be a blurry mess. Maybe put a sword over a shield to the right of Sword and shield? Or a Shield witha 2 on it, with the sword bisecting the shield. Then you can putyour six shooter and cross further down with the subtitle.
