Comments about cover design
The theme of redemption carries through the story in a number of forms, and the metal collar is one of the things that signifies redemption between not only the main character but his captors as a whole. I wanted that to come across in the cover, so when readers are done with the story, they recognize the varying degrees of redemption. I felt the central image of the cover needed to draw in potential readers with darkness and despair, yet also a glimmer of hope.

I love how the cover immediately grabs you and draws you in. The dark sinister colors and the eerie luminescence of the green is impossible to ignore. When I look at this, I want to know what the central ring is for, why are there barbs on it and a screw-down ratchet? This this is pure evil. But why is is broken? What torment did this device inflict and what power overcame it? The symbolism imparted by the broken collar fits the story perfectly. The attention to detail and the subtle nuances of the graphic make me want to tear into the story and find out what happened and why.
All in all, a fantastic cover, and an incredible story to go with it!
