I think for me, being a baby boomer is what drew me to this book; to be honest it was the title not the cover art.
I like the connection between the avant garde illustration and the old typeface. It is very apropos for the time period of baby boomers, circa 1950 and 1960s.

I like the abstract representation because poetry is sometimes an abstract art that is open to different interpretations.
