Comments about cover design
The inspiration for the cover design of Emperors’ Clothes came from living with the story and the characters as they were being crafted. A few distinct images, capturing key dramatic elements of the storyline, emerged through the editing process. Put together in the right way, these strong images set up intrigue around the novel: The red substance dripping from the pen into a pattern reminiscent of the chart of a company stock (is it ink or is it blood?); the smaller male supplicant appearing to bow before the taller, ostensibly more powerful woman (role reversal?); the crown perched on the woman’s head (reinforces the title….but why is this significant?).
