Comments about cover design
The inspiration for the cover design of Emperors’ Clothes came from living with the story and the characters as they were being crafted. A few distinct images, capturing key dramatic elements of the storyline, emerged through the editing process. Put together in the right way, these strong images set up intrigue around the novel: The red substance dripping from the pen into a pattern reminiscent of the chart of a company stock (is it ink or is it blood?); the smaller male supplicant appearing to bow before the taller, ostensibly more powerful woman (role reversal?); the crown perched on the woman’s head (reinforces the title….but why is this significant?).
This is very intriguing.
Intriguing cover design! It subtlety incorporates gender roles in America, or the reversal of them, and corporate America. The ink/blood draws the readers in, as well as the colored crown, making the audience want to delve into the book to uncover the symbolism behind these.
A very clever and creative book cover. It makes a dramatic statement.
Intriguing cover design! The images conjure up ideas like suspense, irony. Maybe things are not always as they appear….
Great cover for a great story. Love what the pictures suggest, but must read the novel to find out what really happens. Well Done!
Great read about corporate America, and the cover is cleverly designed!
Love the chart and the blood ink. as well as what is she, the Emperor, doing to cause the company’s downward spiral and the blood. Makes one want to read it.
this cover begs a reader to question:
Who is “the Emperor?” And why does the female wear the crown? Does the pen drip red to warn of personal or corporate disaster (or maybe both)?
a MUST read to find the answers!
The simplicity is genius.
Completely relevant text for our time. Critical reading for professionals. And love the cover – designed perfectly for the content!

I love the clean look of this cover, and yet, at the same time so many elements of the story are communicated: the drops of blood, the fountain pen, the stock trend line, the high heels, the crown. Just awesome!
I absolutely love this cover. The colors are perfectly striking. The eye is drawn to study every aspect of the design due to its simplicity and compliments the storyline within pages of the novel. Excellent work!
