This series is set in the Pipe Woman Chronicles universe, but it takes place in Washington, DC, instead of in Denver, and the main characters are new. So I wanted a different feel for the covers of these books. Wind turbines figure prominently in the big, final scene. When I saw this stock photo, it seemed to have the right feeling of brooding menace. It’s hard to see in the thumbnail, but I played with the title font so that “Cross” looks like it’s blowing one way and “wind” looks like it’s blowing the opposite way.
I like the “wind” marks that are coming off your title. Good looking cover.
