The scene with Solon in his study, contemplating his decision, was the scene that stuck in my head when I first decided to write the story. I also knew from very early on that I wanted it to be an oil painting. I contacted Hilary Keegan, whom I knew from school, and she was wonderful. We spent hours discussing perspective, lighting, and the character himself. What we came up with, I believe, captures 100% the image I had in my mind at the outset, and I’m proud to say that the painting is hanging on the wall in my lounge today!
This wonderfully painted cover makes you want to open the book & read it just to find out what the “old man” are pondering about. Wonderful cover for a wonderful, well written book.
