My design represents the essence of my novel. The two lovers are standing at the center, behind them is the flicker of light in the window of the little farm house, and above them looms a black widow spider with a red swastika hanging from it’s web.
“A Flicker of Light” is the story of a young woman who due to unforeseen circumstances becomes caught in the web of Nazi Germany. When she is sure that her most desperate moment is upon her and she has no where to turn, she discovers that even in the darkest hour there is always a flicker of light.
The cover is outstanding. It totally captures the essence of the story and encourages everyone from the serious reader to the person who is just browsing to stop, pick up that book, and walk to the check out area of the store. Everything in the cover can be found in this amazing book. All of Roberta Kagan’s books draw the reader in from the first page and leave you wanting the story to go on and on. I find myself thinking about the story lines long after the book is finished and just seeing the cover reminds me it will be a bookshelf book ready for multiple reads.

I personally like the cover for the book. It gives a good description of the book. I either historical fiction so this cover is very inviting.
The Cover draws a reader in. The book is great and really follows the cover very well. A Black widow is dark and creepy but in all things there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Or in other words “Flicker of Light” in the darkest hour but there is always something good that comes out of it.
This was a very spectacular book written by Roberta Kagan. I enjoyed it very much!!
