What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I was inspired by a recent trip to New Orleans. After learning about the casket girls on a haunted tour of the French Quarter, I knew I had to write a story about these women who left everything behind to start a new life. Plus, vampires!
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
My characters were inspired by the real-life casket girls of New Orleans. I put myself in their shoes and did my best to imagine what kind of lives they left in order to make the voyage.
