Mystery/romance is a blend of both both romance and suspense and the two must be in harmony to make the story work. Along with the romance there is always a hint of danger and suspense, which is an element that we enjoy building.
What Advice Would You Give Aspiring Writers?
Keep writing and learning as you go. Don’t make excuses to keep from writing. If you are serious about writing it is important to keep a regular schedule and set aside a portion of time every day for writing. The biggest obstacle to getting published is not finishing a novel.

Vickie Britton and her sister Loretta Jackson are the authors of over forty novels. Their mystery/romances include Path of the Jaguar, Nightmare in Morocco, The Vanished Lady, and Arctic Legacy.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?We have always had an interest in music. In the summer we often take trips to find the perfect setting for our novels. One year we went to Padre Island, Texas and were inspired by the beautiful beaches and the atmosphere.
