What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
One of my characters, George, is a fifteen-year-old adopted Navajo boy. I wanted to get him back onto his Nation's Reservation (Northeastern Arizona) and to feature his skills and the Navajo culture. The story of three adopted brothers, George, Brian and Brett, is told through Brian's eyes. It has a coming-of-age feel, but wrapped in a tight mystery-thriller, where the hunters become the hunted, nearly costing one of the boys' life.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
Betrayed is my seventh book, and in each of the previous books, the same characters appear with one or another taking center-stage. They are a part of a fictional family, the Evans family, and in each book, a new thriller-mystery takes place.
