What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
Bagheera was a real house cat on a constant mission to escape our Boulder, CO condo. One day, he successfully snuck out our sliding door (as I watered our organic garden). After bringing him back in, in a fit of rage, I hit the keyboard, and Bagheera Bach was born.

How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
My roommate’s last name was Bock, and her mischievous cat was named Bagheera. I changed the latest name to Bach for this book and loved having the illustrator include images of Bach throughout the story.
