How is Writing In Your Genre Different from Others?
Writing books for children is a real challenge. You can’t write down to them, but they have to be able to follow the story. And it has to be fast paced. Also, if a story that is going to be read to children, then it must keep the adult’s attention and if it has hidden features that only the adults will understand, then that helps too. I’ve tried to do all of this in my book.
What Advice Would You Give Aspiring Writers?
Write, write, and then write some more. Only by writing will be improve. You certainly wouldn’t try to publish everything you write, but one only fair story may lead to a much better one.
What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
My granddaughter who always was asking me to tell her a story. One day she wanted one about a girl who turned into a donut and the story was born.
