What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I wrote my 1st book in 2nd grade. I have been writing my whole life. From short stories, a puppet show, poems, lyrics, songs and now my 1st children’s book, have all been inspired by my love of the arts and relationships. I am a fan of Dr. Seuss, S.E. Hinton, David Strasser and the Beatles! My father published his 1st novel in late 2014, before his death, and encouraged me to write a book.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
I left most of the illustrations open to interpretation for my artist. I do come up with basic ideas but I trust the people I work with. If I don’t see what I envisioned in my mind, I may ask for a revision but for the most part, I let the artist do what they do best, CREATE!
