Life’s pretty good when you’re dating the cutest guy in school. But what happens when he asks you to do something that goes against your beliefs? That’s the question Sharlee must answer in Whose Am I? Sharlee has been raised by Momma Johnson, her grandma, and she’s an old school, sanctified Christian. She’d prefer her youngest granddaughter not date at all, but she knows Sharlee is no longer a child and has to start making her own decisions. Lukas McGhee, the new guy in school, has all the girls mesmerized and Sharlee is no exception. She’s shocked when he asks her to the Homecoming Dance. It doesn’t take long before they both fall head over heels, but that’s when things get complicated. With prom only a few weeks away and college on the horizon, will their senior year be a dream come true, or a nightmare? Find out in Whose Am I?

How is Writing In Your Genre Different from Others?
Writing in the Christian Fiction Genre is different from other genres in that as an author you have a responsibility to portray characters and messages that lead others to make the right choices.
What Advice Would You Give Aspiring Writers?
Write, write, and write some more! The more you write, the better writer you become. Also, also be prepared. You never know when opportunity will coming knocking!
What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I was inspired to write my book after observing the struggle that young girls face trying to remain virtuous in a world that does not value virtue. Our young ladies deserve to have a variety of literature to read that is “filth free.”
About the Author:
Reading and writing have been a passion for me since I was a child growing up in Virginia. I spent most of my free time with either a ball or a good book in my hand. I graduated from Hampton University in 1996 and began teaching special education at a local elementary school. In 1998, I relocated to Georgia and soon married my college sweetheart, Norris.
In the summer of 2000, God planted the seed for Whose Am I? in my spirit. I wrote the first draft with dreams of having it published, but life suddenly became busier than I ever imagined. I was blessed with two children, Niya and Isaiah, and started my graduate studies at Kennesaw State University. Shortly after graduating, I became a school administrator. In the midst of being a busy wife, mother and career woman, I still thought about my beloved characters. Sharlee, Lukas, and Momma Johnson were still in my heart. I made a promise to God that I would share their stories with young people everywhere. I didn’t know how I was going to do it, but God did. He took control and orchestrated a series of events that allowed me to rewrite, edit and publish my story. Fourteen years later, Whose Am I? is no longer just a dream, it’s reality.
