An elderly woman on a meager fixed income splurges to make a fruitcake for her ailing neighbor. The neighbor, on a fixed income and too ill to shop, gives the fruitcake to someone else. For twelve days, each person who receives the fruitcake passes it on to someone else. The life of everyone who receives it improves in some small, but significant, way. Charming and sweet with just enough irreverency and humor tossed in to make this a delightful, heartwarming Christmas story.
Nancy Hill is a Portland, Oregon writer and photographer. She believes that given a chance, people will show generosity of spirit and compassion. She believes just as strongly in having fun and making mischief.
