What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I visited Salem, Mass. where the infamous early America witch trials took place. It made me wonder whether such a trial could possibly take place in the present day. This novel portrays one way it could happen.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
The central character of Rachel Williams was created to be a contoversial sociologist whose research into ancient mysticism uncovered secret knowledge that led her to form the Society of Medea. I based Rachel on the idea of a dogmatic personality promoting her doctrine of occult power for women.
