What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I was reading a Philip Marlowe book when I saw a short story competition. As I began sketching out an idea for the competition, I realized it was far too complex to fit in a short story. Instead of giving up on it, I decided to go all in and write a novel.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
The characters come from a few places. Rog Beagle, the protagonist, is actually a persona that my SO and I invented for a beagle I walk past on the way to work. Other characters sprout from various conversations, or simply to fit a need in developing the narrative.
