Let’s face it: sleep deprivation can adversely affect our body, brain, overall health, productivity, and our relationships – at work, at home, and with friends. We sacrifice our well-being when we don’t prioritize good sleep hygiene. The bidirectional relationship between ADHD and sleep disorders makes getting adequate sleep a real challenge for millions of ADHDers. Author Aiden Ashlyn struggled for years with sleep problems. When she finally realized her ADHD was partly to blame, she embarked on a quest to find sleep solutions. Through trial and error, research, and numerous ADHD resources, Ashlyn searched until she found answers and resolved her problems. Her lifelong commitment to helping others inspired her to share what she learned to empower her fellow ADHDers to discover sleep strategies that fit their needs. No two people are alike, so there are no one-size-fits-all formulas for success. Ashlyn presents sleep science, sleep therapies, alternative practices, lifestyle suggestions, and much more to educate, inform, and inspire readers to find their own solutions to their unique sleep issues. She shares personal stories – her own and others’ – and uses a friendly and supportive tone throughout the book.
Targeted Age Group:: ADHDers and people struggling with sleep disorders
What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I was inspired to write this book by my desire to empower others to help themselves live better lives. I wanted to share my personal experience and knowledge about how sleep and ADHD interact to make sleep problems even more difficult for ADHDers and other neurodiverse individuals compared to neurotypical people. And to let them know there are solutions to ADHD sleep problems.
