What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
Many women deal with self-esteem issues and resort to low-cost butt enhancement on the black market, which leads to hazardous and tragic consequences. The Pumper is intended to highlight and forewarn of this reality.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
Diamond is typical low middle-class individual seeking a better life but going about it in an illegal pathway. Her life is a cautionary tale, and characters surrounding her act as foils, and give direct and subtle opposition to her sabotaging route in life.

Diamond walked out a Dallas post office in her carrier outfit and found her black Lexus coupe—what remained of it. The torched body rested on the flattened tires and blackened $2,000 rims. The windows lay like crushed ice on her melted seats when she looked in. She grabbed the edges of the frame and felt the jagged glass when she swung around in disgust, shaking her head toward the ground and her closed fist dipping toward it.
“Damned!”
She surveyed the parking lot and saw nothing but a yardful of USPS jeeps and vans, and Jade and Boston’s cars parked nose to nose near the barbed wire fence. She snatched out her cell phone and dialed while sprinkles of rain dampened her screen.
“911, do you need police, ambulance, or fire department?” the dispatcher said in a flat voice.
“Police.”
“What’s the nature of the emergency?”
Diamond fidgeted and walked around to get a better look at her windshield. It said in fat white letters: Watch your back!
“Ma’am?” said the dispatcher.
“Yes…my car was totaled out. Burned up…windows busted. I just want to file a report.”
“Your name?”
“Diamond Young.”
“Address?”
“Post office on Tom Landry Freeway.”
“Someone is on the way to you. Stay on the line, ma'am.”
“Okay.”
