What Advice Would You Give Aspiring Writers?
I think that the best advice to writers would be to read other books similar to your book. Reading improves a writer’s active vocabulary and teaches about the function of sentence structure. Reading other authors’ books in your genre can function as your private dictionary or thesaurus. As a writer, you must be well versed in the type of genre you wish to write. Your audience will expect this.
Author Bio:
My name is Sarit Gilor. I’m the author of several highly imaginative children’s books including Nellie’s Magic Glasses and The Merry Adventures of Charlie the Choo-Choo, and I promised there would be many more to come.
I believe in inspiring creativity, communication, curiosity and imagination in children through reading. In fact, evidence suggests that children who read for enjoyment every day are more likely to do well at school, develop a broader vocabulary and increase general knowledge than those who don’t.
I have a lot of fun creating stories that entertain my young readers and hopefully teach them important everyday lessons in a fun and easy to understand manner.
